Dear Hiring Manager:

I am interested in applying to the Executive Assistant position as advertised in The New York Times. Your advertisement for this position indicated requirements that closely match my background and expertise.

During the past fifteen and one-half years in my career as a legal secretary at a mid-sized firm, I have maintained the highest performance standards within a diverse range of administrative functions. I have served as an assistant to one of the firm’s senior partners and founders. My varied responsibilities, such as scheduling appointments/meetings, coordinating travel, reconciling accounts and implementing marketing strategies, have allowed me to develop office management skills. In addition, through tasks such as preparing and filing correspondence/legal documentation and communicating case-sensitive information to clients in a professional manner, I have developed and sharpened my communication skills.

Currently, I am seeking association with a company that can benefit from my expertise as an executive-level administrative assistant with excellent organizational and communication skills, an outstanding work ethic, and the ability to work equally well in both team-oriented and self-directed environments. I would love to pair my strong background with the fashion industry as I've always dreamed of one day becoming a fashion buyer!

I have enclosed my resume to provide a summary of my qualifications for your review. I would welcome an opportunity to meet with you to discuss my candidacy in further detail.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Very truly yours,

Arlene F. Lepore Attachment
