I am constantly reading tips on how to answer interview questions, what questions you should ask, what are the best answers for particular questions. I've come to the conclusion that when it comes time for the interview, the person conducting the interview is just getting a bunch of BS or to be more precise the answers that careerbuilder (and HR surveys) says are the best answers and NOT the truth. Whatever happened to the interview and looking at a persons credentials and using your "gut" feeling about the person. I guess it comes down to who can lie with the straigher face

I don't know if i exactly agree with that. However i have not read the article you are talking either.
In my limited experience with interview questions, it seems the focus today is on situational questions.
My guess. The limitations on what employers can ask, requires them to get creative. So the questions are less about the question itself, but more on how you can handle it. Do you get nervous, are you prepared, can you think on your feet.
That is just my opinion, I could be wrong. I know i found CareerBuilder Canada to be extremely helpful in finding a job. The job search agents worked much better than anything else. Not to mention it has not been flooded with numerous MLM companies yet!!
